Privacy Policy

Opening

Cache ("we," "our," or "the app") is a trading card collection management app developed by Justin Gorman. This policy explains what data Cache collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Data That Stays on Your Device

Your card collection, scan history, photos, notes, purchase prices, and all personal collection data are stored locally on your device using an on-device database. We do not have access to this data. If you delete the app, this data is deleted unless you have created a backup via iCloud.

Data Sent to Our Servers

When you scan a card, the photo is sent to our backend server (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) for processing by an AI vision model (Anthropic Claude). The image is used solely to identify the card and extract text. We do not store your card images on our servers — they are processed and discarded. When you request market data or generate an eBay listing, card details (not photos) are sent to our server for AI processing. This data is not stored.

eBay Integration

If you connect your eBay account, Cache uses eBay's OAuth 2.0 authorization to obtain an access token. Your eBay password is never shared with Cache — you sign in directly with eBay. Your eBay access token is stored securely on your device using the operating system's encrypted keychain. We do not store your eBay credentials on our servers.

Subscriptions

Cache offers optional paid subscriptions managed through RevenueCat. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous user identifier to manage your subscription status. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

Analytics and Tracking

Cache does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. We do not track your behavior, build advertising profiles, or sell your data to anyone.

iCloud Backup

If you use the backup feature, your collection data is saved to your personal iCloud storage. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud backups.

Camera and Photo Library

Cache requests camera access to photograph trading cards and photo library access to import card images. These permissions are used solely for card scanning and collection management. Photos are stored locally on your device.

Children's Privacy

Cache is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

Because your collection data lives on your device, you control its retention. Deleting the app removes all local data. Our servers do not retain card images or collection data after processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of Cache after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
